Fraud and online caution

Do you suspect a scammer is selling or trying to buy a RV? Please report to us the listing number and/or email in question here. You can also report it to the FBI at the Internet Crime Complaint Center

Fraud Triggers

Two or more of these should be a warning:

  • Seller is currently out of the country or on vacation
  • Buyer protection program suggested like Ebay, Amazon, etc;
  • Google Checkout
  • Phone number not working
  • Will pay you extra so you can pay shipper
  • Can't inspect the RV
  • Cruise ship
  • Shipping company
  • RV is in storage
  • RV is in different location than seller
  • Be aware of listings claiming to have the RV overseas
  • Escrow service
  • Email address from free service like hotmail, gmail or yahoo
  • Won't supply VIN number
  • Need deposit before visit
  • Wiring Money
  • You are given a link to see a receipt
